Abstract

957,744. Feeding sheets. MORGAN FAIREST Ltd. Dec. 7, 1962 [Sept. 21, 1961], No. 33813/61. Heading B6B. [Also in Division B8] In a labelling machine (see Division B8) labels are transferred from a stack 23 by a rotary drum having pivotal, suction, sector plates 22. The plates 22 (Fig. 12) pivoted at 44 are spring- loaded outwardly 46, 47 and limited by a screw 48. Suction supply lines 30 pass to ports 31 in a valve plate 32 (Fig. 9) rotatable with the drum. A stationary valve plate 33 (Fig. 8) contains slots shaped so as to apply suction to a sector plate which is passing the supply stack 23 and hold the suction until the label is positioned on the article A.
