Abstract

956,519. Rotary pumps. E. HENGSTLER. April 13, 1962 [April 21, 1961], No. 14338/62. Heading F1F. A rotary pump comprises a cylindrical piston 10 mounted through needle bearings 12 on an eccentric 5 integral with a drive shaft 4. The piston 17 mounted in a cylindrical bore 14 to form working spaces 15 and 16 separated by an abutment 11 which has part cylindrical surfaces 18 with a common axis about which the abutment pivots. Pumped fluid passes through a groove 25 in the abutment to an outlet 23, the delivery pressure in the chamber 17, and spring loaded pistons 19, urging the abutment against the piston.
