Abstract
956,034. Radio receivers switch tuning arrangements. E. K. COLE Ltd., and N. M. WOODHALL. March 12, 1962 [March 16, 1961], No. 9580/61. Heading H3Q. A radio receiver provided with a first tuning means K1, Fig. 2, for tuning it over the V.H.F. range and sharply to a first predetermined frequency M in that range has a second tuning means 1, 2, 3 adapted to operate preset tuning impedance which tune the receiver to a selected one of a number of predetermined frequencies within said range when the first means is adjusted to the first predetermined frequency M. In Fig. 1 a radio frequency amplifier V1 has incremental tuning coils L1, L2, L3 which may be selected by push-buttons 1, 2, 3. Valve V1 is coupled to oscillator V2 which may be continuously tunable or may be pre-set to 89.1 Mc/s. (Light), 91.3 Mc/s. (Third), 93.5 Mc/s. (Home) by push-buttons 1, 2, 3, respectively, when the manual tuning is set to the mark M. Permeability tuning may be used and there may be more pre-set stations.
