[Also in Division F2] A tool holder comprises a body 3 having a morse taper socket 7 and a nut 11 screwing on to the body and carrying means 17 for retaining it against rotation and bayonet-type means 12 for retaining it against axial displacement. The nut has lugs 12 which are entered through slots 13 in the spindle 1 and are turned to engage a stop 21. The balls are engaged by a spring ring 19 which permits the nut to be rotated to adjust the socket axially but which resist rotation of the nut during use.
