Abstract
952,618. Filing papers. J. BLANCHARD, and Y. BLANCHARD. May 25, 1960 [May 25. 1959], No. 18536/60. Heading B6E. In a vertical letter file the walls 1 and 2, Fig. 1, of adjacent jackets are removably secured together by sliding movement of a rail 3 and slide bar 4 fixed respectively to the walls 2 and 1 by rivets 5a engaging holes 5. The rail 3 which may be metal or synthetic plastic has an upper edge bent in inverted U-form. The rail 4 which may be metal or synthetic plastic has an upper edge bent to form a C to envelope the rail 3 in the manner shown in Fig. 2. The wall 1 has a flap 6 for carrying an inscription or indicating strip protected by a cover 9 of transparent plastic material. Modifications of interengaging rails 3 and slide-bars 4 are shown in Figs. 3 to 12 (not shown). A transparent cover 9, Fig. 10 (not shown), retains an indicating strip 8 on the slide-bar 4.
