Abstract
1,108,689. Printing plates. ADREMAWERKE G.m.b.H. 14 April, 1966 [24 Sept., 1965], No. 16413/66. Heading B6C. An address printing plate comprises a rectangular metal foil of aluminium imaged in relief mounted upon a metallic bush plate formed with guide rails 13, 14 and carrying integral tongues 18 and 19 by which the foil is held. Each tongue 18 is no longer than half the length of the foil whilst the side tongues 19 extend substantially along the entire length of the shorter edge of the foil. Integral abutments 20 on the back plate are used to locate the notched corners 21, Fig. 7, of the foil. So as to render the text on the foil readable when a non- transparent back plate is used one of the rails 13, 14 on the printing side may have an open viewing-space for the reception of reading- strip. Alternatively, the plate may be of transparent synthetic plastics material. Rail 13 has slots to accommodate tabs. The foils may be manufactured in strip form being precut along lines 22, Fig. 7, and perforated along lines 25.
