1316660 Rulers M CIESLAK and J A VELTZE 17 Dec 1971 [31 Dec 1970] 62033/70 Heading B6P A ruler for drawing broken lines comprises a frame 1 formed with at least one slot 4a-4d, the slot being divided by transverse strips as at 5a-5d, the transverse strips being defined by a ladder-like elongated member (7, Fig. 3, not shown), fixed to the frame 1 by surface adhesive. The members formed with the transverse strips may be removed and replaced for repair or to provide alternative forms of broken line. The slots 4 may be linear or curved, and may have bevelled edges. The transverse strips 5 may have bevelled edges (50, Fig. 4, not shown), or have curved upper surfaces to permit a writing implement to be moved along the slot smoothly.
