Abstract

952,568. Belt-gearing. SPINDELFABRIK SUSSEN SCHURR STAHLECKER & GRILL G.m.b.H. June 1, 1962 [June 9, 1961], No. 21291/62. Heading F2Q. [Also in Division D1] In a spinning &c. frame, where each spindle has its own tape and drive-pulley, the latter being located near the spindle, a tensionpulley and at least one guide-pulley, the holder for the tension-pulley is movably arranged on a supporting surface against which it is pressed by the tension of the belt and of at least one spring &c., and a group of tension-pulley holders are arranged on a common mounting rail which extends along the machine. The mounting rail is carried by the spindle rail either directly or indirectly; in the latter ease it may be secured to brackets carried by the spindle rail in which the drive-shaft is mounted, or forms part of a casing for the drive parts which is bolted to such brackets. In Fig. 1, a mounting rail 5 is secured to brackets 4 fixed to the lower web of a spindle rail 3, and carries by their own resilience, a group of slideways of plastic material in each of which is disposed a holder 7 for a tension-pulley 8 urged downwardly by a spring 9. Brackets 2 also secured to the spindle rail carry housings for the bearings of a drive-shaft 1; upward extensions of these brackets carry a rail 13 to which are bolted brackets 12 carrying guide pulleys 11 and pivots 14 for levers 15 which can be rocked individually to lift the corresponding belt off its drive pulley. In another form, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown), the mounting rail is itself bolted to the lower web of the spindle rail and each tension pulley is carried at one end of an arm pivoted to the mounting rail at its other end, the tension spring being centrally attached. In Fig. 2, the mounting rail 25 is bolted by means of an upper flange 25<SP>1</SP> to downward extensions 22<SP>1</SP> of brackets 22 attached to the spindle rail. Holders 27 for the pulleys slide directly on the face of the rail each being attached to an oblique spring 29 passing through an aperture in the holder and the rail. Brackets 212 adjustably secured to the flange 25 carry the guide pulleys 213 and pivots 214 for the lift-off levers. The mounting rail and drive-shaft may be in corresponding sections extending over a number of spindle positions, two brackets 22 supporting each rail- and shaft-section. In another form, Fig. 6 (not shown), the mounting rail is in upper and lower sections, one section being adjustably secured to the extensions 22<SP>1</SP>, and the spring extending between the back and front of the rail; the tension of the spring can be varied by changing the position of the adjustable section. In Fig. 7, the mounting rail 75 is carried, in an adjustable manner so that its inclination can be varied, by members 722 pivotally mounted at 721 on brackets 72<SP>1</SP>; the upper end of the rail has a flange subject to the pull of a spring 752 while contact surfaces 723 are provided for the rail on each bracket. To allow access to the spindles, the springs are unhooked, the tapes taken off, and the rail and pulleys swung about the pivot 721. In Fig. 8, the rail is carried by brackets 822, each pivoted at 821 to a bracket 82 and the pulleyholders 87 are adjustably mounted on the rail. Each bracket 822 is fastened to a fixed bracket 82<SP>1</SP>; when this fastening is released, the bracket 822 and its pulleys can be swung about its pivot without removing the tape. Finally, the mounting rail may form a hinged part of the cover enclosing the driving parts which is bolted to brackets secured to the -spindle rail.
