Abstract
952,101. Evaporators. NEDERLANDSCHE THERMO CHEMISCHE FABRIEKEN N.V. March 14, 1961 [March 29, 1960], No. 9382/61. Heading B1B. Liquids are evaporated, e.g. water is removed from arinal material, in a cylindrical vessel 1 provided with a steam heating jacket, wherein the material is flung against the wall up to the top of the vessel by agitating members 17, which are rotated on axle 6, so that the whole hot inner wall is covered by the material. The vapours pass through openings 14 into axial tube 13, then flow out of openings 15 into baffle chamber 3 and are finally withdrawn through pipe 21. When evaporation is complete, the treated material is discharged through conduit 11. An apparatus designed for a continuous process is referred to.
