A container for flasks, tubes or ampullas comprises a box-like base portion with tapered longitudinal and transverse ribs 7 moulded therein and a moulded grid-member 6 engaging grooves 5 in the upper part of ribs 4. The container may be made by injection moulding from a plastics material. A lid engaging an abutment 3 and which may have a foam rubber cushion bearing on the upper ends of the articles in the container may be provided.
