Abstract

945,183. Boxes for sparking plugs. PIONEER PLASTIC CONTAINERS Ltd. July 6, 1962 [July 7, 1961], No. 24644/61. Headings B8C and B8P. A box, e.g. for a sparking plug, comprises a tapering body 1, removable cap 2 and a separate sleeve 3 which is placed around the article 4 before it is placed in the box. The sleeve 3 is compressed by the body 1 and article 4 so that a flange 13 bent up by a body 1, and a shoulder 6 locate the article radially and axially. The cap 2 is held seated by a lip 9 co-operating with a lip 7 on the body 1 and has a hollow boss 11 to locate the upper end of the article. The body 1 may be moulded from polystyrene and the cap 2 and sleeve 3 from polythene.
