Abstract
951,292. Aerials. SUMITOMO ELECTRIC INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 7, 1962 [June 9, 1961], No. 22161/62. Heading H4A. In a helical aerial (Fig. 1, not shown), the uniform helical element 2 (Fig. 2) is made from a strip of plastics material which may be reinforced with fibreglass and which has a conductive element 4 buried near the outer edge 3. The pole 1 around which the helix 2 is wound may be metallic or it may be of an insulating material with its outer surface made conducting by a metallic deposit or a metallic wrapping.
