Abstract

891,319. Aerials. TELEFUNKEN G.m.b.H. Sept. 26, 1960 [Sept. 26, 1959], No. 33026/60. Class 40(7). An aerial comprises a helical element, having mounted in it an auxiliary reflector, and a metal housing, open electrically at one end, which contains the helical element. The housing 4 is coaxial with the helix 5 and the feeder 2. A dielectric plate 9 closes the open end of the housing, which points towards a wideangle reflector 1. An auxiliary reflector 10 is axially movable along the feeder 2 and comprises a disc having a strip of metal foil 12 at the circumference thereof. The aerial can be adjusted for use over a wide range of frequency.
