Abstract
Anti-inflammatory and antipyretic pharmaceutical compositions comprise a carrier intimately admixed with a compound of general formula <FORM:0951111/A5-A6/1> wherein R1 and R3 are each a hydrogen atom or a lower (C1-5) alkyl or alkenyl group, R2 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-11 hydrocarbon radical, R4 and R5 are C1-11 hydrocarbon radicals, a is an integer from 1 to 4 inclusive and b is 0, 1, 2 or 3 and non-toxic salts thereof, e.g. the ammonium and alkali-metal salts. The compositions may be in conventional pharmaceutical forms, e.g. tablets, capsules, syrups, elixirs, sterile solutions and suspensions, creams, lotions, ointments, jellies, solutions and suspensions which may contain suitable binders, fillers, excipients, preservatives and anticaking agents.
