Abstract

Pharmaceutical antiinflammatory compositions comprise a carrier and a guanylhydrazone of the formula <FORM:0954265/A5-A6/1> wherein R and R1 are alkyl radicals-preferably containing not more than 6 carbon atoms, R2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical preferably of up to 6 carbon atoms, R2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, alkoxy or halogenated alkyl group having from 1-6 carbon atoms and n is 1, 2, 3 or 4 or a physiologically tolerable acid addition salt. They may be in forms suitable for enteral, parenteral and local administration e.g. tablets, dragees, ointments, creams, solutions, suspensions or emulsions, such forms comprising conventional pharmaceutical excipients.
