Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of general formula: <FORM:0950872/C2/1> in which R represents a 2-pyridyl or 4-pyridyl radical and R1 represents a 2-pyridyl, phenyl, 2-halogenophenyl, 2-alkoxyphenyl (up to 10 C atoms) or 2-alkylphenyl (up to 10 C atoms) radical; and their acid addition salts; and their preparation by heating a compound of formula: <FORM:0950872/C2/2> with a compound of formula: <FORM:0950872/C2/3> in the presence of a polymerisation inhibitor for vinyl pyridines. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise the above compounds and salts with an inert pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Oral, parenteral and rectal administration are mentioned. The compounds have depressant, hypotensive, antihistamine and antiadrenaline properties.
