Abstract

The invention comprises salts of glycyrrhetinic acid and glycyrrhetinic acid hemiesters, e.g. the hydrogen succinate, with bismuth, zinc or a metal of Group IIA, IIIA or VIII of the Periodic Table such as magnesium calcium, aluminium or iron. The salts are made by reacting the acid or hemiester with a solution of an alcoholate of the metal. Specification 843,133 is referred to.
