Abstract

The photonitrosation reaction of a C5- 14 cycloalkane to the cycloalkanone oxime (or salt) is carried out in a solution containing 20-50 weight per cent of a normally liquid hydrocarbon polyhalogenide such as CHCl3, C2H2Cl4 or C2HCl5.
