Abstract

Novel compounds of the formula <FORM:1043483/C2/1> wherein Z1 represents either a methylene group which may carry a lower-alkyl or lower-carboxyalkyl group as one substituent and a lower-alkyl group as an optional second substituent or an ethylene group which may carry one or two lower-alkyl groups on one of its carbon atoms, and wherein the broken line denotes that the group or atom attached thereby is optional and "lower" denotes groups containing up to 4 carbon atoms, are prepared by oxidation of the corresponding mercapto compounds.
