950,762. Lubricating. C.A.V. Ltd. Aug. 2, 1962 [Aug. 18, 1961], No. 29844/61. Heading F2A. A bearing, wherein a shaft 3 is rotatably supported in a bush 5 rotating within a hole in a body part 4 at a lesser speed than the shaft 3, the body 4 and bush 5 having passages 7, 8 to feed lubricant between the shaft 3 and bush 5 and between the bush 5 and body 4, comprises a thrust collar 10 having a peripheral flange adjacent the bush 5 surrounding the shaft 3 at one bush end, a thrust pad 11 fixed to the body 4 bearing against the flange of the collar 10 to hold it against the bush 5 and body 4, and a cover 14 secured to the body 4 having a hole through which the shaft 3 extends, in which is a bush 16, with a flange 17 whereby, with the adjacent parts of the cover 14 and/or pad 11, it will on rotation cause lubricant to be discharged radially into a space in the cover 14. The flange 17 of the bush 16 has grooves 18 so that the lubricant is flung or pumped into the said space.
