950,287. Moulding driving belts. COMPAGNIE DES TRANSMISSIONS MECANIQUES SEDIS. Aug. 10, 1960 [July 9, 1960], No. 27677/60. Heading B5A. [Also in Division F2] A toothed driving belt comprising a plurality of helical coils of steel wire to which are fixed transverse teeth of super-polyamide is manufactured in a mould comprising a base-plate 21, an internal ring 22, external rings 23, 24 and a distribution plate 35. The ring 22 is in four pieces centred on a mandrel 26, itself centred in the base-plate 21. The assembly is positioned by a spindle 17 and a centring foot 28. A helicoidal groove 32 is formed in the surface of the ring 22 to receive the cable before moulding. Grooves 29, 30 are formed in the opposing surfaces of rings 22, 24 corresponding to the teeth of the belt. A central gate 33 opens into a series of radial grooves 34 made in the lower face of the plate 35 and spring into an annular groove 36 which communicates through notches 37 with the grooves 29, 30.
