949,113. Releasable fastenings. CARR FASTENER CO. OF AUSTRALIA Ltd. April 5, 1961 [April 8, 1960], No. 12198/61. Heading E2B. A fastening device for securing together apertured plates 23, 24 comprises either a resilient or spring-controlled anchor member having a portion adapted to pass through the registering apertures, and engage with a detent member. The anchor member may comprise a piece of metal strip or wire bent so that its two end portions can be brought to bear against the plate 24 whilst its central portion 5 protrudes through the apertures to be engaged by the detent 19. Alternatively the anchor member may comprise a metal clip 28 having a portion 27 for insertion through the apertured plates, a coil spring being located on the clip between the plates and the ends 30 of the clip. This latter embodiment may be further modified by providing two washers on the clip 28 and locating the spring therebetween.
