Abstract

948,328. Wells. SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. July 21, 1961, No. 26613/61. Heading E1F. A wellhead, particularly for sub-aqueous wells, comprises a casing head 11, a casing and tubing suspension body 12 secured in the head and having an internal shoulder 44, a casing hangar 18 having an external shoulder 43 seating on the shoulder 44 and an internal shoulder 41, a casing hangar 17 having an external shoulder 40 seating on the shoulder 41, and hold-down slips 57, 58 carried by the casing hangars and engaging the body. The body supports casing 16 and is fixed in the casing head by hold-down slips 52. A dual bore adapter 31 supporting tubing (not shown) seats within the hangar 17. In a modification the body is integral with the casing head. Specifications 924,904 and 948,322 are referred to.
