Abstract

1,074,943. Wells &c. GRAY TOOL CO. Dec. 23, 1963 [Jan. 7, 1963], No. 56369/66. Divided out of 1,074,942. Heading E1F. A conductor casing 10 has a casing head 12 carrying a mud riser or other tubular control equipment 24, and a casing head 58 may be lowered with casing 54 by a string 61 through the equipment to seat within the casing head 12. The apparatus is suitable for submerged wells. A plate 56 which may be welded to the casing head 58, is interposed between the casing head 58 and the seat 20 in the casing head 12. The lower end of the string may seal side ports in thebosses 88, 90 of the casing head 58 to permit cementing through the string 61. The bosses may be detachable.
