[Also in Division H1] A high voltage capacitor consists of a plurality of series connected capacitor elements 1 to 8, mounted in an insulating box 20, 21, 22, and having tapping points which are connected to a terminal stack 11 comprising flat conductors 9, 10, 12, 13, 14 separated by pairs of insulating layers 15 to 18 between which stress foils are inserted as in Specification 940,310. The whole terminal stack is bonded by synthetic resin. The outer ends of the conductors are provided with connecting tabs 9a, 10a, 12a, 13a, 14a which project from the terminal stack.
