Abstract

945,601. Recipricating pumps. APPLIED POWER INDUSTRIES Inc. Jan. 19, 1960 No. 1849/60. Heading F1A. A cylinder assembly 35 comprising a bucket 48, cylinder 36 and outlet valve assembly, is inserted into a block 10 and the cylinder is held in position by a dowel 38 screwed into the block and engaging a recess 37 in the cylinder; a plug 41 screwed into the cylinder and engaging the block 10 by means of a shoulder 43 draws the cylinder into tight engagement with the dowel 38. The outlet valve communicates with a common outlet 31 in the block 10. The cylinder assembly may be replaced by one having a separate outlet which does not communicate with the common outlet 31. The slippers 61 and spring retaining collars 64, are secured to the bucket by snap rings. The bucket valve stop and spring retainer 75 is shaped to prevent turbulence and is also accurately located in position by a snap ring 76. Specification 945,602 is referred to.
