In a bearing having a metal housing 1 and an element of synthetic substance 2, the latter is moulded to, and anchored in, the housing by providing a screw thread 3 in the bore of the housing which may be interrupted by a recess 4. The recess may cover the periphery of the bore, or may be in the form of several small depressions around the periphery. The recess may be screwed and the bore plain, or the screw-thread may be interrupted by a land in place of the recess 4. The land may be screwed and the bore plain.
