944,966. Book-keeping apparatus. H. WILSON. Nov. 13, 1962 [Feb. 6, 1962], No. 4569/62. Heading B6A. Book-keeping apparatus comprises a base 1 of synthetic plastic material, a metal strip 2 with a dovetailed groove therein secured to the underside of the base, and a slide member 7 of L-shape cross-section which slides within the strip 2, the slide 7 having two upstanding lugs 8 to locate a bound pad of slips or cards 21, and a clip member 11 pivotally mounted in lugs 14 on a metal plate 10 secured to the slide 7. The slide 7 and pad of slips &c. 21 can slide along the strip 2 between end stops, and a leaf spring arranged between the dove-tailed portions of the slide and the strip serves as a friction member to retain the slide in any position. Two or more record sheets 18 and carbon sheets 19 are located on pins 17 on the base 1, and are gripped by a spring clip 20. The loop 12 of the clip 11 embraces all but the bottom slip of pad of slips 21, so that when the clip is swung away from the base 1, only the bottom slip remains overlying the top record sheet 18 to enable entries to be made thereon. Holes 23 in the base 1 facilitate firing the apparatus in a folio.
