Abstract
1,111,787. Filing papers. C. J. BROADHURST. 22 July, 1966 [4 Aug., 1965], No. 33343/65. Heading B6E. A compressor member for a loose-leaf ring binder comprises a sheet-like member 8 of polyvinyl chloride or other resilient material having keyhole or similar shaped perforations 11, 12 therein, the parts (13, Figs. 2 and 3) of the perforations being circular and larger in diameter than the rings 4, 5 of the binder, and the parts (14) having a width slightly less than the diameter of the rings, whereby when the member 8 is moved in its own plane to engage the rings in the parts (14) it will be held against unintentional movement, and hold the sheets 7 of the binder against the back cover 2. In order to compensate for wear in the narrower slotted parts of the perforations, these may be extended in length (Fig. 5), or may have sinuous sides (Fig. 6), or additional pairs of perforations may be provided (Fig. 7). The member 8 may be provided with a matt surface for use as a memorandum tablet.
