Class 146(1) In a loose-leaf ring binder of the kind in which the rings are made in abutting havles in the form of prongs or claws carried by spring-loaded toggle plates, the prongs 22 are made of sheet metal and have outer surfaces which are convex on a line longitudinally of the binder, thereby facilitating relative movement between the prongs and sheets 26 secured by the prongs. The prongs 22 project from toggle plates 18 in edge to edge pivotal contact at 20. A spring plate 10 is secured to the spine 14 of the binder cover by rivets 16. In a modification, the outer surfaces are V-shaped in the longitudinal direction of the binder. Specification 523,179 [Group XX] is referred to.
