A combined gas turbine and steam turbine plant comprises a compressor 1 supplying air to a boiler 2 generating steam for use in a turbine. The combustion products from the boiler feed a gas turbine 4 driving the compressor 1. In order to reduce corrosion in the feed-water heater or economiser 14 it is placed at an intermediate stage of the gas turbine, i.e. between sections 4, 4<SP>1</SP> instead of after them.
