Abstract

944,566. Helical shoots. THOMAS ROBINSON & SON Ltd. May 15, 1962 [July 13, 1961], No. 25365/61. Heading B8S. A helical shoot, Fig. 1 (not shown), for sacks, is made up of fibre glass sections which are fastened to each other by bolts and fitted around a central cylindrical support. Each section a, Fig. 4, has a flange d running along its top and outside edges, lugs e on its lower edge and a cylindrical tube portion b at its inside edge. The connecting bolts join the lugs e to the flanges d and the tube b fits over the support cylinder t. The latter is preferably of steel and may comprise interconnected tubular sections.
