Abstract
1,105,133. Posts; silos; tanks. F. REINKE. 2, March, 1965 [2, March, 1964], No. 8785/65. Headings E1B and E1T. A hollow pylon, well- . shaft silo or tank comprises a number of interlocking tubular sections 22 of mouldable material cemented. polymerised or welded together and additionally braced by longitudinal rods 27 of metal or fibre-reinforced plastics which are located by internal or external flanges on the sections. The pylon may have an arm 28. The sections may be tapered as shown, or may comprise tubes of successively reducing diameter, Fig. 7, (not shown), connected by flanged rings. The sections may have internal ribs or other reinforcement, Figs. 8-19 (not shown). In modifications dispensing with the flanges each tubular section is double-walled and the longitudinal rods are located by transverse webs interconnecting the inner and outer walls of each section.
