Abstract
743,394. Jigging conveyers. SIMON, Ltd., H. Nov. 3, 1954 [Dec. 21, 1953], No. 35456/53. Class 78 (1). Predetermined proportions of stock are drawn off at different points of a vibrating tubular conveyer a at each of which is cut a rectangular slot b, Fig. 2, by turning a sleeve c, Fig. 3, so that a similar slot d formed therein is brought more or less into coincidence with the slot b. The sleeve c may be split longitudinally and provided with flanges e having bolts therethrough which can be tightened to clamp it in any adjusted position. Longitudinal movement of each sleeve is prevented by the ends of the outlet funnels f. Each slot b extends around the tube for an angular distance less than 90 degrees, preferably 70 degrees, on each side of the vertical plane passing through the axis of the tube.
