897,129. Pneumatic conveyers. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION (HOLDINGS) Ltd., and DAVIS, R. F. Nov. 14, 1958 [Nov. 26, 1957], No. 36903/57. Class 78 (1). A main stream of pulverized fuel, e.g. coal, dispersed in a gaseous medium, e.g. air, is divided into branch streams by a tiltable nozzle 11 movable in the common plane of the branches. The main stream is directed into the nozzle by a fixed nozzle 9 which may consist of check pieces 8 bolted inside the pipe 5. The nozzle 11 may be divided by partitions 20 and it is adjusted by an arm 17 mounted on one of its spindles. This arm may be locked in any position by clamping means 19. A slotted riffle 10 may be disposed at the junction of the pipe 5 with the branches 6, 7.
