Abstract

1324334 Pipe joints INDUSTRIE-WERKE KARLSRUHE AUGSBURG AG 17 Dec 1970 [27 Dec 1969] 60015/70 Heading F2G In a hinged pipe joint, two tubular members 14, 14a, which are rigidly secured to two connecting flanges 11, 11a have bell-shaped ends which are arranged to roll on an externally partspherically shaped central ring 15 and the passage of the joint is lined with a synthetic resin tube 16. The ring 15 has a cylindrical passage 15a whose diameter is larger than the diameter of the tube 16 and when liquid under pressure is conveyed through the passage 10a, the tube wall adjacent the passage 15a distorts and is disposed as shown. The pivotal movement of the joint is restricted by members 12, 12a, which are connected to the flanges and which are connected to each other by a hingepin 13.
