943,495. Packaging-machines. F. THEEGARTEN. July 8, 1960 [July 13, 1959], No. 23983/60. Heading B8C. Sweets 23 are indexed by a disc 10 into alignment with two parallel paths 19, 20, the disc 10 having sweet accommodating apertures in its edge so arranged in an annular manner that alternate apertures marked 12 are alignable with path 19 and alternate apertures marked 13 are alignable with path 20. Two reciprocating pushers, below the disc 10, simultaneously push sweets from the disc 10 along paths 19, 20 to two wrapping heads 17, 18 mounted on a common shaft, these heads being fed with wrappers by guide rollers. A reciprocating member 32 intermingles wrapped sweets from path 19 with those from path 20 and the resulting closed row 34 of sweets can be jointly wrapped in a second wrapping device 35 and then ejected.
