Abstract

721,202. Conveyers. HARRISON, E., and HOWISON, P. C. July 15, 1952 [April 19, 1951], No. 9193/51. Class 78 (1). Sweets, tablets and similar small objects are fed to two or more wrapping machines by a single operator who places them on an intermittently rotating disc 3 provided with a series of holes 7 arranged in concentric circles, the number of circles corresponding with the number of machines. The articles fall into the holes and are ejected therefrom when the disc is stationary by pushers 4, 5 into the path of pushers 1 on endless chains 6 which convey them along channels 2, 14 to the wrapping machines. In a modification the chains are parallel to each other and travel in the same direction at different speeds. The fastest conveyer is only partly filled directly by the disc and the gaps in it are filled from the slow conveyers by pushers.
