Abstract

942,118. Roller mills. CHEMISCHE FABRIK KALK G.m.b.H. July 18, 1962 [July 22, 1961], No. 27535/62. Heading B2A. Apparatus for coarse-crushing material in lump form comprises lower and upper rollers 2, 9, the roller 2 being driven and the roller 9 being rotatably mounted and surrounded throughout its entire length by loose disc rings 10, 11 which contact the roller 2 and have an inner diameter which is at least 1À05 to 1À3 times the outer diameter of the roller 9. The straight line joining the axes of the rollers preferably forms an angle of 30-70 degrees with the horizontal. The rings 10, 11 are of different diameter and are fitted alternately over the roller 9. The axis of the roller 9 is carried by pivotallymounted arms 7 supported on adjustable screws 8. Material to be crushed is fed into the apparatus by way of a shoot 12 and the crushed material leaves through a funnel 13.
