941,655. Cartons. ROBINSON & SONS Ltd. May 4, 1961 [May 5, 1960], No. 16016/60. Heading B8P. A carton of fibrous sheet material has a panel with a portion of double ply thickness, whose outer layer has a tear-out portion 15 defined by perforations 16 extending through said layer, the inner layer having an outlet 12 defined by slits 10 registering with the portion 15 but of smaller dimensions. Adhesive is applied to the shaded area of flap 2 which is overlaid by the flap 3, and the tab 20 is folded down and lightly secured to the flap 5 by glue spots 25 such that it may easily be raised to tear back strip 15. The section 12 is pushed into the carton by breaking the bridges 13. Another form of the invention has the tear-strip formed as three adjoining sections in an end panel, while the outlet is formed in an extension of a normally provided glue flap.
