Abstract

941,628. Two-part couplings. PRESSAC Ltd. Aug. 10, 1962 [Aug. 23, 1961], No. 30371/61. Heading H2E. [Also in Division E2] An electric plug or socket 1 is held in an opening in a partition 9 by means of a plate 7 of springy material, e.g. stout cardboard or plastics. The plate 7 has a hole 8 to receive the portion 2 of the plug, holes 11 to receive lugs 3 on the plug and a spring tongue 10. In use the body 2 of the plug is inserted in the hole in the partition 9 and the plate 7 pushed on to the end. The holes 11 are so placed that when the lugs 3 enter them the spring tongue 10 is flexed and when the plate is clear of the lugs this moves the plate so that portions of the plate lie behind the lugs, thus preventing the removal of the plug.
