940,675. Valve bags. CANADIAN INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 9, 1961 [June 10, 1960], No. 20917/61. Drawings to Specification. Heading B8K. A bag is filled by providing an opening along one part of an edge adjacent the corner of the bag, inverting the corner into the bag to provide a filling port, and after completion of the filling operation retracting the inverted corner to its original position and sealing the opening. The corner is retracted either manually by pressure of air introduced with the contents and by withdrawal movement of the filling spout. The opening is sealed by adhesive, heat sealing or taping.
