1,013,210. Lined containers; container closures. LILY CUPS OVERSEAS Ltd. Aug. 4, 1964 [July 24, 1963], No. 30849/64. Headings B8D and B8T. The side wall 3 of a container of paper or the like has an annular groove 6 adjacent its mouth which is spanned by a thin liner 7 which is held taut across the groove and provides a yieldable seal for engaging the periphery of a lid 2. The liner, which may extend over the entire container interior, is secured to the wall by an adhesive. The closure may be in the form of a tubular plug 2<SP>1</SP> with a peripheral portion 2a<SP>1</SP> to engage the groove.
