Abstract

979,449. Flexible containers. MARSTON EXCELSIOR Ltd. May 29, 1963 [June 5, 1962], No. 21695/62. Heading B8D. The end of a flexible container of tubular form is closed by means of a bond formed between the inner side of the container wall 11 and the outer side of a member 12. The container may be of an elastomer-coated fabric; and the closure may be strengthened by means of an end-piece 31, the member 12 being formed double in order to protect the edges 30, Fig. 8. Blocks 16 are clamped by bolts against the closure, Fig. 11. The closure may be effected by turning in one wall inside the other and bonding the adjacent surfaces, Fig. 6 (not shown). A sealing strip may be used in the closure joint, Fig. 7 (not shown).
