940,639. Dynamometers. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURGNURNBERG A. G. July 21, 1961 [Aug. 26,1960],No. 26482/61. Heading G1W. In atorque measuring system wherein one end of a test piece 9 is torsionally strained and the other is fixed to a face plate 8 on a shaft 3, an intermediate structure 4, 5, 6, 7 is provided between shaft 3 and faceplate 8 so that the shaft may be mounted in bearings 2 which are smaller than those usually used and therefore create less friction. The torque transmitted to the shaft 3 by the test piece 9 is measured by a weighing device 13 (Fig. 2). In another embodiment (Fig. 3) the weighing device 13 is replaced by a torsion bar 15.
