Abstract

940,629. Electric railway collectors and conductors. JERVIS B. WEBB CO. Sept. 28, 1962 [Oct. 10, 1961], No. 36885/62. Heading B7L. Electric conductor rails 44a, 44b of angle section are partially surrounded by a plastic casing having a depending skirt 58 which serves as a guard and a rain deflector. The shoe 30 has a universal joint connection 32 with a support block 26 secured to a frame 18 pivoted at 19 to the vehicle 20 and being urged into contact with the rail by a torsion spring 22.
