Abstract
937,645. Fluid-pressure servomotor control systems. RECHERCHES ETUDES PRODUCTION. April 26, 1962 [April 27, 1961], No. 16052/62. Class 135. An hydraulic servo-mechanism having a manual input element 4, a fixed piston 2, and a movable, output cylinder 1, has a control valve T directly coupled to the element 4 and formed with plane surfaces for co-operation with spring-loaded seating members G 1 , G 2 which are also urged against the valve by the hydraulic supply pressure admitted to a chamber 15 and through passages in the seating members and a passage 10 in the valve to a chamber 16. In addition, the pressures in the cylinder chambers 20, 26 are effective in chambers 32, 33 to provide a further force pressing the members G 1 , G 2 against the valve, and such pressures also act in annular chambers 31, 30 to provide " feel " for the operator. Deflection of the valve, which is centred by a spring 5, causes the transmission of pressure from the inlet 15 to the cylinder chamber 26 by way of a cavity 18 and passages 9, 33, 25 or to the chamber 20 by way of a cavity 17 and passage 19, depending upon the direction of deflection, and exhaust from either chamber 20, 26 takes place by communication of either cavity 17, 18 with a chamber 29 leading to an outlet 28. Movement of the seating members G 1 , G 2 with the cylinder 1 provides " follow-up " action.
