Abstract
936,875. Casting machines. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 2, 1962 [Jan. 23, 1961], No. 2579/61. Class 83 (1). A continuous casting, e.g. of niobium or tantalum, from an electron beam furnace is immediately received in a second electron beam furnace and remelted and, if desired, continuously cast. The furnaces are surrounded by vacuum chambers, and the emergent casting is preferably surrounded by a vacuum chamber in which it cools.
