Equipment for modifying rolling consists of port and starboard tanks 1, 2 connected by a conduit 3 in a curved path for transfer of water from one tank to the other when pressure of compressed air is supplied to said one tank, each tank having an air valve 6, 7 operated by a solenoid 13, 14 having electrical connection 15, 16 to contact 11, 12 in a control member 8 in which is flexibly suspended a container 10 weighted with mercury or other heavy metal so that angular movement of the vessel causes container 10 to complete the appropriate circuit to open the valve to cause transference of water between the tanks to modify the roll of the vessel.
