Abstract

934,767. Brackets. J. IRVING. Nov. 9, 1960 [July 1, 1960], No. 38531/60. Class 52 (5). [Also in Groups XXII and XXV] A bracket arm for engagement in elongated apertures 2 in a supporting panel 1 comprises a base-plate 5 having two rearwardly extending tongues 4 spaced to pass through the apertures 2 and provided with nose portions 7 outwardly and downwardly inclined to engage the rear surface of the panel with a wedging action. Preferably, the portions 6 of the tongues are normal to the base-plate and shorter than the thickness thereof. A support member 8 is butt welded to an outwardly pressed rib 9 in the base-plate. In a modification, shown in Fig. 4, the support member is a bent wire or metal rod.
